Comme à chaque fin de SDCC, on apprend la liste des grands gagnants des Eisner Awards, et cette année n’aura pas dérogé à la règle. Le comics ayant remporté le plus de récompenses est une fois de plus Saga de Brian K. Vaughan et Fiona Staples.

Parmi les autres récompenses on peut mentionner celle de la meilleure nouvelle série attribuée à Black Hammer de Jeff Lemire, celui du meilleur graphic novel à Wonder Woman : The True Amazon de Jill Thompson, la meilleure anthologie est Love is Love qui regroupe plusieurs contributions d’artistes rendant hommage aux victimes et survivants de la tuerie d’Orlando à l’été 2016, la meilleure publication humoristique est la série Jughead de Chip Zdarsky, Ryan North, Erica Henderson, et Derek Charm, la meilleure série limitée The Vision de Tom King et Gabriel Walta, ou encore la meilleure publication pour les jeunes (entre 13 et 17 ans) pour The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl de Ryan North et Erica Henderson.
