Matt Wagner, lauréat d'un Eisner Award, écrit et dessine cette saga macabre qui met en scène un Batman encore inexpérimenté, au début de sa carrière. L'auteur oppose le héros aux inquiétants Monster Men, de redoutables créatures qui se nourrissent de chair humaine !

    Batman et les monstres est la suite directe de Batman : Année Un. Ce comics introduit le premier super-vilain : Professeur Hugo Strange. Personnellement, je ne le connaissais pas et je trouve que ses origines sont bien amenées. Il y a des combats, du sang et quelques massacres… n’oublie pas le terme 'monstres' dans le titre quand même.
